Ombre Powder Brows

Ombre brows are a newly emerging eyebrow technique. These brows are simple yet beautiful, and they are being used by more and more celebrities.

What is an Ombre Powder Brow?

An Ombre is a color that is gradually shaded into another color. We’ve all heard of ombre hair, where the hair gradually blends from one color to another, and the same goes for ombre brow. The difference is that the ombre brow is lighter and softer at the front of the brow and gets a little darker and bolder towards the tail. It adds depth to your brows and creates the makeup powder effect.

Who are Ombre Brows good for?

Ombre brows are good for all skin types, including the oily and mature skin that are not candidates for microblading. This technique is also perfect for clients who wear makeup daily and want perfect eyebrow shape.

A Versatile Style

You may have seen numerous Ombre brow pictures on Instagram. They are big, bold and dramatic. Very likely those are freshly done Ombre brows. In fact, when healed the color will soften and and fade about 20-30%. If you prefer, a soft natural Ombre brow can be achieved using a lighter color and a less dramatic shape. Plenty of mature clients benefit from soft shaded Ombre brows!

The Procedure

Although Ombre brow can be done with a manual tool, it is most commonly implemented by a permanent makeup machine and cartridge. A numbing agent is used during the procedure to ensure clients’ comfort. Often times the sound of the machine put our clients into a power nap and wake up to their dream brows!

How long does the color last?

Again, the retention of the color will depend on your skin type, after care and life style. But in general, Ombre Brow color lasts anywhere between 1.5-3 years which is longer than microblading. Follow the aftercare instruction and avoid sweating and the sun is critical for your good healed results. An annual color boost will also help keep your brow color fresh.
