What is Microblading?
Microblading is a type of permanent makeup/tattooing technique that distributes pigment into your skin. Microblading creates very thin strokes that are designed to look like your natural hairs, being a great eyebrow technique.
The Benefits of Microblading
There are many benefits of microblading, one being that they make your eyebrows extremely low maintenance. You’ll be able to save a lot of time in the mornings by not having to draw on your eyebrows.
These perfect eyebrows also last you a long time – about 18-30 months. If you take care of them during aftercare, they’re likely to last even longer.
Not only that, but they are waterproof, meaning you’ll have perfect eyebrows even when you’re swimming.
The results will also look natural, while being safe and easy. You shouldn’t feel any pain during the procedure, and you’ll end up with the beautiful eyebrows you’ve always wished for.
Is Microblading Expensive?
Obviously getting microblading done is a luxury experience, no doubt about that, but you’ll save so much time and money on eyebrow products, and you’ll wake up every day with a pair of fabulous, symmetrical, and waterproof brows.
The Procedure
Although the microblading procedure may take a while, it’s not too complicated. First, you and the artist will figure out what kind of eyebrows you want, and then they will create an outline around your current eyebrows to fill in later. Next, your eyebrows will be numbed with a numbing ointment. The next step is the actual microblading, where the artist will trace over your current eyebrows with light strokes to create your ideal eyebrows.
Aftercare
After you get your eyebrows done, there’s a healing process that your eyebrows will go through. It may seem a little freaky at first, but it’s totally normal and there’s no need to stress out about it. Right after the procedure is done, your eyebrows will be very crisp and dark, maybe even darker than you want them to be, but they will fade throughout the weeks into the perfect color. You should remind yourself that microblading is cutting into the skin, so your skin needs to heal afterwards.
When the healing process first starts, the skin will be drier and start to flake off. DO NOT PICK AT IT!!!! This can shorten the “life” of your new eyebrows and cause them to fade faster. You’ll be supplied with everything you need to take care of your eyebrows, from ointments to directions to chocolate. Make sure you stay out of the sun in the weeks following the procedure, because this can also cause premature fading.
Just make sure to take good care of your eyebrows, and they’ll last for a long time.
